How to Get out of the Winter Blues

Monday, February 27, 2017

If you live in New England, you and me both know that winter isn’t going anywhere for a couple months (sigh). Every year around this time I get sooo sick of winter, is it just me? We’ve been hit with some pretty brutal snow storms this month and I’m just ready for the beach! I mentioned in a previous post how I’ve been longing some winter outfit inspiration. In today’s post, I wanted to give you guys some quick and easy outfit ideas for these next couple months! I also linked some pieces you could use to create these outfits.

This outfit is so easy to create and the layers will keep you nice and warm! You could pair it with black, white, or regular jeans for an awesome look. This picture has a statement necklace with the outfit, but I think it would look awesome with some statement earrings as well!

Fur vests are my favorite this time of year, I own soo many! This is a new way of styling one and I’ll definitely be trying this out soon.

Layers on layers on layers! I love this look because it involves all your basics in one outfit. It will definitely keep you warm for those cold days!

Love this look for fall or winter! I’ve worn outfits similar to this and it’s great for staying warm and is super easy to recreate.

Black and White

Friday, February 24, 2017

Happy Friyay! I can’t get over how nice it was to have 65 degree weather yesterday, it really felt like summer! I’ve had this white vest for a while and got it at Primark, but I couldn’t find it on their website. I love how it’s a little different than a regular fur vest. If you follow me on Instagram, you might have saw this picture featuring this bracelet from The Styled Collection. I’ve seen this bracelet on sooo many blogs and pre-ordered it about a month ago. I got it in this week and love it! It’s so simple but it’s the perfect addition to my gold “stack” that I always wear.

Spring Fever

Wednesday, February 22, 2017

Seriously, spring could not come soon enough! I’m constantly on my favorite online stores and Pinterest looking for cute spring clothes that I can’t wait to get my hands on! I own the Baublebar bracelet set above and love them for a pop of color to an outfit. I also own the Tory Burch Miller sandals in two colors and can’t get enough of them! They’re my go-to shoes all summer and I love the colored ones. I love all these items and wish I could add them all to my wardrobe!

My College Workout Routine

Monday, February 20, 2017

Happy Monday, I hope you all had a great weekend! Today I thought I would share what my workout routine has been like and how it has changed since being in college. In high school, I worked out at my gym 6 days a week Monday-Saturday, and then usually went on a run/walk on Sundays. I would start with a circuit training arms and legs and then followed with 20-30 minutes of cardio. I would finish with an ab routine everytime. Over the summer, I was doing Crossfit at a gym in my town 3-5 times a week. It definitely got me in good shape and I gained a lot of muscle fast!

Since I’ve moved to school, I’ve had a difficult time finding a routine that would work best for me. After trying different things, I now switch off everyday between arms and legs and finish with 30-45 minutes of cardio. Everyday I do different ab routines as well, Pinterest has been great for finding some different ones so that my muscles are always surprised and sore! You can follow my fitness Pinterest board here for some great workouts. I’m also constantly adding to it.

As for cardio, I do something different everyday! One machine that I have loved for years is the arc trainer. It’s similar to an eliptical machine and is great for longer sessions. I usually spend 35 minutes to an hour when using this machine for a good sweat. Other days I will do an incline fast-walk or a HIIT workout on a treadmill. Since being at school, I also do the stair master some days too! I find this the hardest and usually only use it to warm up. This app is great for beginner runners! I have never been a fan of running but this app helped me become a better runner and be able to run longer.

When I’m home from school, I love attending spin classes at a local studio. It is a great workout and a good switch up for cardio! I’ve gone to a couple barre classes as well and have also loved them.

What do you guys like to do for a workout routine! I would love to hear from you guys, I’m always looking for something new to try!

The Sweater I Have on Repeat

Friday, February 17, 2017

BP mock neck sweater // black distressed skinny jeans // similar black booties // Kate Spade watch // Pandora ring // Baublebar earrings // Burberry aviators

TGIF!! I purchased this sweater a month ago and it has been my go-to. I feel like I’ve been in a bit of a outfit rut and have had no idea what to wear in the morning. I think I’m just really sick of winter weather and ready for spring clothing! Spring is my favorite time of year for fashion and I’ve already picked up a few things for spring. (Keep an eye out for a spring fashion post soon!!) This sweater goes with all my winter basics and is super cozy. I love the mock neck because it’s a little different from a turtleneck!

This weekend is my roommate’s birthday so we’re going to be celebrating for that! What are your plans for the weekend?

Urban Outfitters comforter set // white fuzzy pillow (on sale!) // similar lantern lights (love these ones) // three-drawer nightstand also here // desk lamp // picture display frame // mirror set // grey throw blanket

Hi everyone! As I’ve mentioned on here before, I am a freshman at Southern New Hamsphire University currently. I do have a pretty big room since it is supposed to a quad, but we used it as a double. I’m also in the neest dorm building on campus, so I guess I lucked out pretty well! This August, I was out looking for the perfect dorm theme and shopped for tons of stuff. This is what I came up with!

I got my bedding as a set that came with the comforter, sheets, and pillow cases. It’s super comfy and will for sure be bringing this home to use as my bedding at home! I lofted my bed as high as it could go so I could fit all my supplies under. The majority of my clothes is in the armoire they give us. I have a white bin under my bed that keeps most of my sweatshirts and basics, and then my grey bedside table holds my workout clothes and pajamas. You don’t realize how much clothes you actually own until you have to move into a tiny corner!

I’ll be sharing more “college” related post soon, stay tuned!

Topshop sweater // ripped jeans // Adidas superstar sneakers // Baublebar link bracelet // Baublebar tassel bracelet set // Kate Spade crossbody

Plaid Vest

Friday, February 10, 2017

white long sleeve // Francesca’s plaid vest not online similar here // Express jeans // Jessica Simpson booties // Kate Spade bag // Kate Spade watch // Baublebar link bracelet

Happy Friday loves! I bought this plaid vest a couple months back and it was my go-to this past fall/early winter. I found it for under $50 as well! Puffer vests are my favorite for this time of year because they make such a simple outfit look put together! Have a great weekend!

Back to the Basics

white long sleeve shirt // Article of Society black distressed skinny jeans // Kristen Cavallari booties // Express cheetah clutch // Kate Spade watch // Baublebar link bracelet // Burberry sunglasses

Happy Wednesday loves! I love how simple this outfit is, but at the same time dressed up. These black jeans are moving their way up in my wardrobe, I wear them all the time! These exact ones are on sale at Nordstrom Rack, but there are similar ones that are a little more pricey if you want to invest! Black distressed jeans are a staple basic, so I think it’s reasonable to splurge on them. These booties I’m wearing come in 4 different colors! They are a little too high for me, but I love to wear them on weekend nights. Have a great week everyone!

What to Wear on Valentine’s Day

Monday, February 6, 2017

It’s almost that time of year! These pieces are perfect for a V-Day outfit and can be for your new spring wardrobe! I just bought this Kendra Scott necklace in a different color and it’s the perfect size for everyday. I love the red pop of color as well! Also these Sam Edelman heels are on my wish list for summer, how adorable are they?! I’m truly crushing on all of these items so get them while they’re hot!

What are you guys doing for Valentine’s Day?

Lately...

Friday, February 3, 2017

Hi everyone! It’s been quite a while since I’ve done one of these kinds of posts, so I thought I would let you guys know what I’ve been up to lately.
I moved back in to school for my second semester a couple weeks ago. My room at home doesn’t have much of a theme, so I was super excited to decorate my dorm room! The theme I have is mostly greys and purples. I’ll do a post on my room soon!

similar off the shoulder top // black jeans // similar leather otk boots // Rebecca Minkoff cross body // Kate Spade watch // Baublebar link bracelet
I wore this outfit for my birthday dinner on Wednesday, it was sooo good! I got this shirt this week at Francesca’s, but couldn’t find it on their website. I’m obsessed with it because it has a comfy jersey material and can be worn any season.

Rebecca Minkoff crossbody
My boyfriend got me this cross body for my birthday and I am in love. It’s so unlike my other handbags and I love that about it!

Baublebar link bracelet // Kate Spade watch // ripped jeans
This arm candy combo is becoming my everyday look! I love how well the two look together.

Lately I’ve had spring fever like crazy, so when I saw that these Rebecca Minkoff sandals went on sale they were a must! I was eyeing them last summer for a while but never ended up buying them, I guess I’m glad I waited!

Nineteen

Wednesday, February 1, 2017

Happy Wednesday everyone! I turned 19 today! I don’t really have anything too exciting planned, I plan on going out to dinner tonight with my family and that’s about it!

This sweater has been in my closet for years now and it is super cozy. I got it at Evereve a couple years back and the brand is Peyton Jensen. I linked some similar ones above! I bought these black distressed jeans a while back as well and have just started wearing them again. They go with literally every outfit! When I was looking them up for this post, I just noticed that they are on sale, so it would be a great time to snag a pair for yourself.
