On the Go

Nike half zip pullover // Nike workout leggings // Nike Free Run sneakers (a staple in my closet!)

This has been my go-to outfit lately! I love wearing this outfit on the weekends, on a run, or to the gym. These Nike Pro leggings have been great for outdoor workouts in the cold weather. They are high rise which I love, and has a great fabric on the inside to keep you warm, but not uncomfortably sweaty!

Shearling Vest

Friday, January 27, 2017

white long sleeve shirt // Nordstrom Rack shearling fur vest // Express jeans // Kristin Cavallari booties // Baublebar link bracelet // Kate Spade watch

Good morning! My typical winter outfit always involves a vest. I found this awesome shearling vest at Nordstrom Rack for under $20! It was a major steal. It also comes in seven different colors! It is a great winter basic for your wardrobe and can be styled like how I wore it or over a basic dress. Have a great weekend!

New Arrivals

Wednesday, January 25, 2017

This snow is making me have spring fever like crazy! Maybe it’s because in college I have to walk to all of my classes, so I can’t avoid going outside ever. I’m thinking of doing a new arrivals post every week, would you guys be interested in that? This is what I’m loving this week!

Rip Curl bathing suit: Every year I’m always eyeing one pieces but never end up purchasing one. This one is adorable and I might just have to get it for the summer!

Rebecca Minkoff bag: This bag would be perfect for spring/summer with an all white outfit.

BP ruffle cold shoulder top: This top comes in blue too and it would be a perfect Easter outfit! I want it in both colors.

Nike sneakers: I love this color! They would be so perfect with distressed jean shorts for the spring.

Knit Mesh cardigan: This cardigan would look so cute with jeans and wedges or even over a bathing suit! I could think of endless ways to wear it for the spring/summer.

Ruffle long sleeve top: Ruffle sleeves are so in this season. This would be perfect for all season! I love the grey.

Cat eye sunglasses: These sunglasses look like they should be more than just $24! They remind me of the Karen Walker sunglasses.

Topshop pompom jeans: I am loving the jeans that have the distressed hem! These jeans are so different and PERFECT for spring. I’m not sure if I could pull them off but I’m dying to find out!

BlankNYC distressed jeans: Perfect color for the spring!

Jessica Simpson booties: I have these in suede and I wear them on repeat. I love this leather version!

My Current Skin Care Routine & How I Overcame Acne

Rodan + Fields Unblemished Regimen for Acne

Hi everyone! I promised a skin care routine... so here it is! I have dealt with acne and acne scars ever since my middle school years. I had tried just about everything: dermatologists, many different face washes, Proactive, and acne medication. Nothing worked right! With acne came the acne scars, which were absolutely impossible to get rid of. It came to the point where I was even wearing foundation to the beach because my skin was so bad. I started using Rodan and Fields UnBlemish regimen this time last year. Quickly, the acne and acne scars went away and I stopped getting zits. My face wasnt even drying out either! I have found that the products worked the best on my skin when I used them all together, but the face wash and the intensive acne treatment are my favorite.

What sets this regimen aside from other face washes is that it is specifically made for adult acne. I use it every morning when I wake up and every night before I go to bed to see the best results. I can’t recommend this enough for people who have struggled with acne! Rodan and Fields also has a lot of other great products as well that are worth checking out.

Weekend Casual

Friday, January 20, 2017

black long sleeve shirt // faux leather leggings // Adidas Superstar sneakers (love these ones!) // similar baseball hat // Kate Spade watch // Kate Spade bag (lots of colors on sale!) // pom key chain

Happy Friday! I’ve officially started my classes and I am sooo ready for the weekend. This outfit is perfect for running errands these next couple of days off. If you don’t already own these Adidas Superstars, I suggest you pick some up because you won’t regret it! At first, I found them challenging to style. I soon found out they can be added to quite literally any outfit for running errands or walking to class! They work so well with all black outfits, too. I recently lightened up my hair, but I’m already thinking about going back to all brunette :-/ I am sooo indecisive with my hair ever since I switched from blonde to brunette! I swear, I can never be satisfied with it haha. Have an awesome weekend!

Sweater Weather (Under $50!)

Wednesday, January 18, 2017

We are in the heart of sweater weather people! I live in New England, so we have a pretty crazy winter up here. Layering is a necessity! I’ve been loving all these sweaters and I even purchased some. Even better, they can all be shipped for free. And, they are all under $50!

Yesterday, I started my second semester of college! I am not too excited about this one, I pretty much always have an 8 am and don’t get out until a little before 2 pm :(. I’m hoping to make the best of it!

Plaid Prep

Monday, January 16, 2017

This plaid skirt is so perfectly fit for the season! I wore it on Christmas Eve and have already styled it so many different ways. This outfit is perfect for holiday parties and reminds me a little of Blair Waldorf on Gossip Girl ha! This skirt is also on sale for $25 and comes in three other colors, which makes me a little tempted to buy more! I did most of my shopping at Abercrombie in my middle school years until I found this skirt; I would have never guessed it was from there. Have a happy Monday!

Favorite Neutrals

Friday, January 13, 2017

Happy Friday the 13th :O I recently got both this shirt and these leggings in the mail and I can already tell I will be wearing both on repeat! I love that they are so basic and can be worn so many different ways. They are also on sale! A similar style of these shoes are currently on sale for 40% off. I personally would like the sale version better because of the zipper. I’m also in loveeee with these earrings! I have pretty sensitive ears and don’t really like the dangly earrings. These ear jackets are perfect for that because they still make a statement.

January Wish List

Wednesday, January 11, 2017

Since I’ve started up my blog again, I have found myself online shopping way more than before, and that says a lot! I hope to create outfits that my viewers can recreate themselves and find the best deals for my readers. That being said, here is what I wish to add to my closet soon!

Wish List

Baublebar earrings: I’ve seen these earrings so many times and had never thought they were my style. I also tend to lean away from dangly earrings since my ears can’t handle heavy ones. After seeing them more and more, I looked more into it and found that the mini earrings are more lightweight. I definitely plan on purchasing soon!

Sam Edelman sandals: I had seen these on blogs last spring and summer and bloggers raved about how comfortable they were! I am very picky about my shoes and need my shoes to be as comfortable as possible. These sandals have recently gone on sale in many different colors and I need them for this spring!

Adidas Superstar: I have these shoes in black and they have been very popular this season. Everyone and their mother owns them! When I saw the gold version on Instagram recently, I loved how different they looked. I would love to pair them with a hot pink sweater and jeans for walking to class.

David Yurman Ring: OK I know this one is a bit of a reach but I am just in love with it! I had always stuck to wearing just my gold claddaugh ring because I like to wear the same rings everyday. I love how flat this ring is and can totally see myself wearing it everyday. I have recently started to buy more silver so I have been switching between gold and silver, and this ring would be perfect for my collection!

Sam Edelman cheetah booties: I have been searching near and far for a pair of cheetah booties. My typical outfit tends to be all back, and a pair of cheetah booties would be the perfect touch to this. I found these the other day on Nordstrom and I need em!

Vans Slip On sneakers: Can you tell that I have been loving the athleisure style? I discovered these shoes from A Double Dose blog. I love how these two girls make such a casual shoe look so stylish! I could definitely see myself wearing these with my outfits.

Tory Burch Gemini Tote: I’ve seen this on Instagram plenty of times and was not sure about it at first because of its plastic look. It definitely grew on me though when I saw how much it reminded me of the Neverful Louis Vuitton.

Denim with a Pop

Monday, January 9, 2017

I have been wearing this denim dress on repeat all fall and winter! It’s one of my favorite purchases in a while. I love wearing it alone and layering it with other pieces. You guys may be able to tell that I pretty much add a fur vest to every outfit during the winter. I love how they can turn a basic outfit into  so much more. I also recently purchased these tassel bracelets from Baublebar and they are so fun!

This weekend New England got almost a foot of snow, so I didn’t too much of anything all weekend! I finished Teresa Giudice’s book Turning the Tables, it was interesting to hear more details on her experience in prison. I don’t watch much TV, but The Real Housewives of New Jersey is my guilty pleasure! I’m excited for tonight’s episode of The Bachelor, this season I really don’t know what to expect!

Best Buys of 2016

Saturday, January 7, 2017

Happy Saturday! This is a rare Saturday post, but I thought I would share my favorite purchases of 2016 while the year is still new. In sum, 2016 was the year I traded in all of my usual everyday makeup for some new products. I never put much thought into my routine in high school since I only had a short amount of time to get ready. This summer, I did a lot of research in quality makeup products and purchased quite a few. I also purchased a lot of staple fashion pieces that I use pretty much everyday!

I got these Ray Bans as a birthday gift this past year and wore them until they wore out, literally. The “Ray Ban” symbol eventually ended up fading off I wore them so much! I probably could’ve taken better care of them as well, but that’s besides the point. I love the gold rims on them and they were perfect for going on a walk or tanning at the beach.

I plan on writing a whole blog post about this product later this month, but this face wash is honestly a SAVIOR. If you have acne prone skin, then this is seriously the face wash for you. It is so worth it! I started using this face wash the beginning of 2016, and I think I can honestly say I will never buy a different face wash again! I use it with several other skincare products from the Unblemish Regimen from Rodan and Fields. Stay tuned for a whole skincare post later on!

A Sephora employee recommended this lip liner to me when I visited the store probably a month ago, and I have worn it everyday since. It’s amazing!

Previously to purchasing this contour palette, I was using my sister’s and had to buy it myself because it was so great! It’s perfect for winter and summer because it can match my pale skin and my summer tan. I use it everyday!

This foundation was also recommended to me by a Sephora employee one visit several months ago. I used to use Lancome’s foundation but needed a switch. I love how this Make Up Forever foundation blends so well with your skintone that at first I couldn’t even tell that I was wearing makeup! Another great thing about this product is that it is very build able for those days you need more coverage than others.

I received this lipstick as a mini sample at Sephora and ended buying the full size. It’s great for the summer time and it’s such a fun color! The quality is amazing and I love that it is so creamy. I plan on buying more colors!

After hearing amazing reviews about this mascara, I finally ended up purchasing it in the beginning of 2016. It’s truly amazing! I have realllyyyyy small eyelashes, so I appreciate this product a lot.

I got this Kate Spade purse as a graduation present in June and use it every single day! I actually own it in black but I couldn’t find a picture. You guys know how much I LOVE Kate Spade, and I think this might be my favorite out of the three I own. The size is so perfect for me!

I wore these wedges EVERYWHERE in the summer. I wore them to my graduation, dinners, vacations, and every graduation party I went to! They are super comfy and go with pretty much everything. Definitely my favorite fashion purchase of the year and I wish I could wear them year round!

As I said before, I have very small eyelashes. This mascara primer works amazing for keeping your eyelashes from clumping together and elongating them.

Prior to this year, I never really filled in my eyebrows since I was blonde and my eyebrows were already a lot darker than my hair color anyways. When I went brunette, my eyebrows were actually lighter than my hair color now! This is my favorite eyebrow pencil I have tried so far and will be purchasing again soon.

2017 Resolutions

Friday, January 6, 2017

Hi everyone! I’m a little late on this post, but happy 2017! 2016 was a very, very busy year for me, but one of the best! I graduated high school, attended my first blogger meet up, went on my senior trip, and started college! Although I had a year full of fun, it did result in me taking some time off Preppy and Posh (which I’m not proud of!).

In Wednesday’s post, I mentioned that my boyfriend got me a new DSLR camera for Christmas, which I am soo grateful for! Before, I was using a compact digital camera. This was great to start out with, but it was definitely time for a new one! The one I am using now is a Canon EOS Rebel T6. My number one resolution this year is to put it to good use and learn how to use it to publish great blog content. For those of you who are familiar with this camera, I would love for you to share your advice in the comments!

Another resolution of mine is to stick to a blog schedule, for real this time! For the time being, I am posting on Monday’s, Wednesday’s, and Friday’s. A goal of mine is to start posting Monday-Friday again once I am finishing up my freshman year. I also hope to publish content that as creative as possible and advance in my blogging as much as possible.

I have always been pretty into fitness, but took a bit of a break at the end of 2015. One part of 2016 that I am very proud of is how well I stuck to working out everyday and eating right. I went to the gym Monday-Saturday, attended spin class at least twice a week, and even did Crossfit over the summer. I did start to slack when I started school, but that was kind of expected lol! In 2017, I hope to have the same motivation I did last year and be more strict about my eating.

My last resolution for 2017 is to get good grades. In high school, I was very far from being a good student. One thing that has surprised me is how different classes are in college, and much easier for me! I have just received my grades for this past semester and was very surprised compared to how I did in high school. I hope to do the same this upcoming semester!

I would love to hear what your resolutions are! I wish the best for you all in 2017!

Pink Plaid

Wednesday, January 4, 2017

This scarf has been a favorite of mine this season. It’s so casual and I usually always throw it over my outfit when I’m walking to class. As you might have noticed from the quality of these pictures, I finally got a new camera! I’m still learning how to play with it and hope to make better quality posts for you guys. Comment if you have any tips with DSLR cameras!

Cable Knits

white pom beanie // lace-up sweater similar here and here // ripped jeans // tan booties (comes in many colors & on sale for under $100!) // Kate Spade purse

Lace up sweaters have been everywhere this season, and this one is one of my favorites! It’s super versatile and can be worn so many ways. Not to mention, it’s 50% off right now! I recently purchased these booties from Nordstrom and I already want to buy more colors. They are perfect for everyday because the heel is very small. They also go with just about everything!
