Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas

Wednesday, November 25, 2015

Happy almost Thanksgiving everyone! For those of you who have yet to pick out your outfit for tomorrow, I’m here to help! Whether you like to go a little more dressed up or comfy to eat a lot, I have two different options. Personally, I love the Rebecca Minkoff side zip handbag above, definitely on my wish list!

What are your plans for tomorrow? Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays! I’m going to my last high school football game ever, super bittersweet! The Thanksgiving football game is always a tradition every Thanksgiving morning against our rival town. Another high school milestone coming to an end!

Have a great holiday! I’ll be back tomorrow to share my guide to Black Friday shopping :)

Prep with Pearls

Tuesday, November 10, 2015

I'm a huge fan of this classic look: a simple lightweight flannel under a basic sweater, because it is super easy and effortless! These two essentials also don't cost a lot either, so they won't burn a whole through your wallet. I've been loving these Primark jeans I recently bought, and for only $20 I'd say they were a steal!

My Morning Routine

Monday, November 9, 2015

Good morning everybody! I always watch morning routines on Youtube, so I thought I would do a blog post on mine! Even on the weekends, I get up pretty early. Schools starts for me at 7:30, but the senior parking lot fills up very fast so I like to get to school around 6:50 for a good parking spot, I know that sounds a little crazy!

5:30 am: I set my alarm for this time. I never press the snooze button because if I did I would never get myself up! I usually sit in bed for a little and check whatever messages I got when I was sleeping and all my social media. If I'm not doing my hair that day, I'll usually take my time getting ready. But if I'm straightening/curling it, I'm rushing! I always shower the night before.

5:45: I go downstairs to turn my Keurig on and wash my face. I swear by Neutrogena Acne Face Wash, I've been using it for years now! I used to suffer with pretty bad acne, but since I've taken such good care of my skin I only get the occasional zits and my main issue is covering up my old acne scars. This face wash keeps my skin always looking clear. For coffee, I have the same thing everyday. For some reason, I would rather have the coffee I make at home than Dunkin Donuts. I always use the Green Mountain Breakfast Blend pods and lovee my coffee sweet. I use this Cinnamon Bun creamer everyday and if you haven't tried it, it is so good and it will make you never want any other flavor again! Seriously. Although I love the cinnamon bun creamer, I can’t resist the holiday creamer flavors. Right now I’m also loving Frosted Sugar Cookie.

6:00 am: I start the getting ready process. I always do my hair first because it takes the longest, but most days I leave my hair natural because it is so damaged. If I do choose to straighten or curl my hair, it usually takes about 20 minutes. I always plan my outfits ahead of time since I don't have long to get ready. I leave whatever I'm going to where the next day hung up on my door so I can just grab it and throw it on in the morning. It usually takes me about 10 minutes to put on my makeup, I usually do it the same everyday or switch between a couple eyeshadows. I always put on my accessories last, too.

6:40 am:  I head downstairs, brush my teeth, put on my lipstick, get everything in my bag and go! It takes me about 5 minutes to get to school. Once I'm there and settled, I usually find a quiet spot to go over my planner and see what I have to do today or what blog pictures I have to take that day. My first class doesn't start until 7:35, so I have about an hour to relax and check my favorite blogs (I check McKenna Bleu and Southern Curls & Pearls every single day, they're my favorite!) I always take my blog pictures after school because it's usually still dark out when I'm getting ready before school!

So I agree, my morning starts probably a lot earlier than most people. But on the weekends or in the summer when I don't have school, I usually wake up around 8 or 8:30, depending if I am working that morning or not. When I don't have school, I definitely take my time in the morning, which means relaxing in bed for a couple hours! I'll also try to hit the gym or my treadmill within the first two hours of waking up, it gets my day going and keeps me motivated! Do you guys have a special ritual you go through every morning?

Lately + Fun Things to do in November

Friday, November 6, 2015

Happy Friday everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve done a post of what I’ve been up to lately. And considering that this time of year is probably the busiest for all my high school seniors out there, I’ve been up to a lot!

It’s that time of year: college application deadlines. That pretty much sums up my last couple of months! College essay writing, common app... all terms you must be sick of hearing if you’re a senior right now. As I’ve said in a recent post, I hope to stay pretty close to home. I’ve dreamed of going to school for Fashion Merchandising for quite some time now, so I’m pretty excited to see where I’ll end up! If any of my readers are looking at any New England schools, I’d love to know where! Comment below

Halloween falling on a Saturday was probably the best thing to happen all month: Halloweekend! At school, me and my friend dressed up as Blair and Serena from Gossip Girl, it was so much fun!

A couple weeks ago I had my last Homecoming game of high school, bittersweet!

I finally had the chance to visit Primark at Downtown Crossing in Boston recently. I wrote about it in this post here, if you’re in the area I highly advise you check it out!

How is it already November? 2015 has really flown by for me. I feel like it was just yesterday I did my 2014 post! Here are some fun things to try this month.

Some awesome DIY fall decor links (perfect for Thanksgiving!):

Have a great weekend!
